The apartment has sea views from the terrace area which leads off from the lounge area complete with TV, DVD and dining facilities. Both the lounge and the kitchen area are accessible via patio doors to the terrace.. The terrace is of a good size 2 x 7 with table and chairs for dining. There are 3 bedrooms two double beds and 1 twin room. The two dbl rooms have reverse cycle air conditioning. There are two family bathrooms. The kitchen is fully fitted with all electrical appliances electric hob and portable electrical oven. There is also a safe available. Car parking space available although you have all amenities on your doorstep so a car is not essential. Playa de Muro is a small but beautiful resort. The Port of Alcudia is not far away this can be reached by walking, buses or a lovely stroll along the beach, It is also a popular area for cycling, running, skating, walking.
Playa de Muro: La Platja de Muro occupies 5.5 km of Muro´s coastline. It is made up of dunes with low vegetation and pines and forms part of the 8.5km-long beach which runs along the Bay of Alcúdia, starting at Can Picafort and ending at Port d´Alcúdia, with the wetlands of Albufera Gran de Mallorca behind. This area is very popular with walkers and cyclists. There are lots of shops, bars restaurants all within walking distance from the apartment. There is a local bus service connecting you to Can Picafort, Port of Alcudia, Port of Pollensa. There is also a taxi rank just 100 metres away. There is a local market every week. Playa de Muro has all sorts of watersports available there is also local horse riding over the beaches, night rides and paragliding. This can be a very active holiday or a relaxing one but there is something for everyone.
Walking /Trekking: Walking / Trekking the north of Mallorca with its vast mountain range is prime walking country. Why not visit Mallorca in Autumn and Spring when the weather is cooler, and ideal for both walking and cycling? Why not walk or cycle around the S’Albufera Nature Park (Playa d Muro, Alcudia), it is the largest and most important wetland area in the Balearics? The area is a former lagoon separated from the sea by a belt of dunes, which has converted into an extensive flood plain. The Natural Park which stretches across some 1708 hectares of marsh and dune land is a protected conservation region. The north of the island takes it cycling and safety of cyclists seriously there are lots of cycle paths linking the villages. Every year Mallorca hosts the cycling competitions and people come from all over the world to participate.
Golf: Alcanada golf course is situated just a short distance from the apartment. Alcanada combines the essential requirements for the creation of a top category golf course, an unrivalled setting and a first rate design. The terrain gently slopes down towards the shoreline, with its pine, olive and oak trees and the mountains of the Sierra de Levante in the background. Alcanada is the only course in Mallorca that is right by the sea and has a spectacular view across the bay of Alcudia. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Snr. and Jnr, the beautiful Alcanada golf course, opened in October 2003. Typical Trent Jones features, like 58 well placed green side fairway bunkers, challenging greens with hidden breaks, and difficult but fair tee shots, already make this golf course a must for all experienced golfers travelling to Mallorca.

For evening entertainment, the family fun pubs such as Cheers, or Woody Woodpeckers, are also only a 5 min. stroll away. There is a huge variety of restaurants – including Spanish, English, International, Chinese, Indian, Italian and Scandinavian cuisine, within easy walking distance (5 -10 min), so you can enjoy a wine or 3 without having to worry about driving home. The beautiful beach of Alcudia, as mentioned, is only a 10 min. easy stroll, and also includes activities such as paddle boats, banana boat rides, parachuting ( by boat), beach volleyball, windsurf — or just simply building sandcastles! And to tour the town, a 4 wheel bicycle cart for all to enjoy!
Chill out!: For those looking for a quiet and relaxed holiday, Casa Helena is also very suitable, because although being close to the beach and all amenities, it is in a very quiet and secluded situation. There are no nearby restaurants, bars or hotels, so therefore no unwanted noisy music or people. Dining at home is also an attractive option — there is a lovely tropical wood dining table on the terrace, with seating for up to 8 people — and to linger over a meal on a warm Mediterranean night,overlooking the lit up pool, really is the ultimate chill out experience! The main port area of Puerto Alcudia is a pleasant 20min walk from Casa Helena around the back of the beach -( there is also a frequent bus service.) Here you will find the boat marina, and the ‘paseo’, a large strolling area to enjoy the view of the harbour, or stop for a refreshment or a meal at one of the many outdoor cafes and restaurants. There are also small paved streets, well known for their Spanish ‘tapas’ bars!
